BioImaging Solutions has licensed the technology which has powered the DIMSCAN for the last decade. We have incorporated this technology into the newly designed BIS DimScan which we will be releasing this spring at the American Association for Cancer Research in Colorado (AACR 2009). BioImaging Solutions has been manufacturing several versions of the BIS Field Scope for various applications. These microscopes allow researchers to use epi-fluorescence microscopy, even while traveling into the field. The microscope components disassemble into two small carrying cases which easily fit into airline overhead compartments. This high resolution microscopy solution is perfect for field work requiring magnifications ranging from 1x to 100x.

BioImaging Solutions has built a custom dark box for chemiluminescence and fluorescence. We have selected the 14 bit HQ2 digital camera for acquisition because of extremely low dark current (0.001 e-/p/s @30oC).  We use a modified enclosure which passes fiberoptic light pipes to provide epi-illumination for 96 well plates, petri dishes, or custom samples. We can use either 200W halogen or Hg metal halide illumination filtered by dichroic mirrors or narrow band pass filters.

BioImaging Solutions has added another automated instrument to it's line of products. The BioZip II  is a high performance, fully automated digital imaging station. The system offers fast, high intensity solid state fluorescence illumination, as well as transmitted light to accomplish all types of imaging lighting needs. Configuration options in stage and focus control, optical magnifications, cameras, sample holders, thermal regulation, and more allow researchers to build an instrument to do just what they need with the ability to expand as needed. All for a very reasonable cost.

The CARVII is back, and a new version is born. Thanks to Crisel Electrooptical Systems Technology s.r.l. for purchasing this product line from BD, we can continue to offer this spinning disk confocal technology as we have in the past. This confocal unit offers full spectrum white light, plus now the CARV-LX version can simultaneously provide up to 5 laser lines for increased signal-to-noise and power .It is fully automated, and can be mounted any modern research-level microscope; inverted or upright configuration available. We offer several different cameras depending upon the application of speed and sensitivity, plus multi-dimensional acquisitions are easily controlled through MetaMorph.
